Before and After of a Senior Portrait - Is Editing Neccessary?

Today we received a call about a parent wanting to book her daughters senior portrait. I always ask how our studio was found - this like many through a Google search. In this case I was the second photographer called. Initially the concern was having to spend $350 from what another photographer quoted. We'll I said it depends on how much time we spend taking photos and what package(s) ordered. She said oh no - that is just for the photography and that I would have to handle the printing myself. I wonder does that quote include editing? I am a firm believer that every single image / portrait ordered requires editing - and that there is never an image coming out of a camera that should be delivered as is. In this scenario I reassured the parent that they can order what they like and do not have to be responsible for the editing.
